CardPro V5 is the premier product designed with advanced features and the scalability to meet the needs of most banks. It has all the features required by issuing and acquiring banks and is modular and scalable, which makes it ready to grow with the customers' requirements. CardPro V5 is built on an open platform and interoperates with major existing consumer and corporate banking systems, and supports both physical and virtual channels. A customer can choose to start with a base system and add new modules as their needs increase. For example, a bank might start with basic issuance of say, credit cards that only requires core modules such as the CORE, APM, CPM, CAR and CAM. Subsequently, the bank might want to add in the LPM (loyalty program management) or DCM (dispute management).
As business grows, the bank can easily expands its offerings to include a wide range of cards such as Credit, Debit, Stored Value and Private-Label cards. CardPro V5 supports all major payment associations card brand including Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club and American Express.

It guarantees ongoing compliances, which can happen twice a year for all respective payment associations. Significantly, CardPro V5 is a most flexible system that is built to easily allow banks to quickly launch new innovative products. This can be supported by using CardPro V5's rich set of pre-defined parameters that allows for creation of differentiated product offerings within allocated time and budget. They include:

1. Flexible product definitions and pricing structures that allow for customization to be done at the level of specific customer (not just groups of customers)

2. A customer centric design that enables a single customer to have an integrated view of the full range of card products. A customer can have multiple product category groups such as debit card group and credit card group and hold practically unlimited number of accounts. In addition, multiple cards can be assigned under an account.

3. Multi-level risk control support complex and complete risk limits to be set at all levels, i.e. at Customer level, Account level and Card level.

FUNCTION OF CARDPRO V5

Core Configuration Module, Security and Batch Run (CFG)
This is the configuration module that allows banks to, in a most user-friendly way, set up the thousands of parameters that drive a card system. It has pre-loaded values with Pull-Down lists and valid values selection.

Application Processing Management (APM)
This module captures and processes information concerning new cards applicants. It supports a host of features including online particulars maintenance, generation of decision letters, application scoring scheme and automatic card number generation.

Cardholder Profile Management (CPM)
This module tracks and manages all information concerning the cardholders in multiple levels - customer, account and card. It manages the myriad relationships of a cardholder with multiple accounts, multiple cards product types, and multiple cards. It supports card embossing/encoding for different card products and on-line maintenance of card account details.

Card Accounts Receivable (CAR)
This is essentially the accounting system for managing and processing cardholders' spending. CardPro V5 supports a most comprehensive set of fees, interest and billing choices. For instance, CardPro V5 supports tiered rates in computation of interests and delinquency charges, transaction pricing based on merchant or Merchant Category Code (MCC), and Balance Transfers. The wide range of parameter-driven choices enable banks to quickly launch new products.

Credit Authorization Management (CAM)
This module decides on the validity of a transaction request from the cardholders. It is real-time and is expected to process and reply in less than a second. This system process large volume of requests based on user-defined credit & Fraud Control parameters. It provides On-line Interface to various payment associations such as Visa's and MasterCard's Authorization Systems for real-time 24-hour authorization. It is highly parameterized and allows banks to perform changes as well as maintenance in real-time, in reaction to changing authorization conditions.

Merchant Accounts Payable Module (MAP)
This module handles the management and payment of merchants. It supports a wide range of payment processing schemes to allow banks to support the business of the merchants. For example, it supports Differential Discount Rates for On-us and Not On-us cards, and different discount rates based on volume or promotions. It automates many of the laborious processes such as credit/debit adjustments to merchant accounts, chargeback to merchants, payment advice, cheque printings, and generate various merchant volume analysis reports.

On-line Collections Management (OCM)
This module helps a card operator manage the collection process. It has a rich set of parameters that allows wide range of classification of account stages such as delinquency, overlimit, billing cycle, product code and account status. It supports prioritisation and distribution of accounts to collection agents, and has a rich set of template letters for use by the agents.

Dispute & Charge Back Management (DCM)
This module manages dispute by cards and merchants on charges and transactions. It automatically tracks the whole cycle of retrieval and chargeback, and process all incoming and outgoing chargeback, retrieval and miscellaneous transactions. It has a most comprehensive set of reports such as critical outstanding items reports, by days and by amount and excess chargeback listing, by MCC and by merchant.

Payment Program Management (PPM)
This is an innovative addition that supports more advanced payment methods such as installment and recurring payment plan that a merchant can offer together with the banks.

Loyalty Program Management (LPM)
This module supports the implementation of multiple types of loyalty programs to generate greater user affinity and usage. The loyalty programs are particularly tuned to support the card business with special features such as points merging at customer level and multiple redemption options. It has a rich set of reports and tracking functions such as shipment monitoring.

FAST Switch - (CPS)
This can be considered the "nervous" system of CardPro V5. It links CardPro V5 to all the external systems particularly the Point-of-Sales (POS) terminals, the ATMs, various international payment networks (e.g. Visa and MasterCard) and country-specific payment networks such as MEPS. Importantly, it is the bridge to the various banks' internal systems such as the core banking system, the call center and the voice response systems.

Multi Bank Card Processing Center Module
This module transforms CardPro V5 into a full-fledge 3rd party processing system. Its multi-bank features enable an operator to process for multiple financial institutions (member banks). The module provides a comprehensive billing mechanism and integrated administration.

Latest Module Included in CardPro - G-MON
G-MON is an Online real-time fraud monitoring software for Visa / MasterCard / Diners Club / American Express / JCB Issuers and Acquirers. GMON comes in 2 versions: GMON Issurer Systems and GMON Acquirer System.
